Chimney Sweep : Supplemental Pattern for Accuquilt

Chimney Sweep was identified by Ruth Finley in her book, Old Patchwork Quilts and the Women Who Made The, in 1929. Old Patchwork Quilts is credited as being the second quilting book written in American. Ruth described as "a very common and easily made pattern". She described youth climbing on roofs and becoming intimate with chimney tops.

It's still true today with brick-shaped patches and squares... made even easier and more fun using accurate cutting tools.
Another popular name for Chimney Sweep is Christian Cross. Yardage for a five block Christian Cross plus a photograph of a beautiful queen quilt are included.
