Feathers have long been a favorite motif for quilters. Feather Quilt is the first of my quilts using the feather as a design element. Colorful feathers flow from gold to dark brown on a gracefully curving border around a traditional feathered circle. The feathers were cut using the AccuQuilt™ Studio™ or GO!™ Fabric Cutter with a die I designed for use by quilters and crafters. Check with your local quilt shop for this cutting service. The pre-cut feather shapes are fused to the background and machine appliquéd. A plastic template is included in this pattern to trace and cut your own feathers.
