The scrappy look of Cherokee Star is created with just 30 five-inch squares that are enhanced with background and border fabrics. The center medallion looks like it is set on point but is actually pieced in rows. Exquisite quilting can be showcased in the background fabric, turning a true beginner level quilt into an heirloom.
