There are three pieced units that go into the Morning Star Quilt: the Chain Block, Border Chain Rectangle, and Star Block.
The Chain Block and Border Chain Rectangle are made at the same time from strips. The points in the Star are made with 2" x 4" finished size Flying Geese patches. Two other pieces are cut from Background fabric: Border Rectangles and Corners. Plain Borders finish the Wallhanging and Lap. Additional Star blocks finish off corners on the Second Border for Twin, Full/Queen, and King.
